BLACK FUTURES – SINGLE REVIEW

Black Futures – Body & Soul (Music For
Black Futures - Body & Soul
Nations)

Release Date: Out Now

The hotly anticipated debut album from agit-punk futurists Black Futures is nearly upon us but there’s just enough time for one more teaser before we get to the main event. The band’s latest release is ‘Body & Soul’ and it’s probably their most brutal track to date if any of you are keeping score. Flickering into life over the top of a steady drum thud and guitar scuzz that is part My Bloody Valentine, part Deux Furieuses and part Chemical Brothers but there’s more to come. When the screaming, infected chorus kicks in we are treated to a frantic Aphex Twin climax coming of the back off a dead-eyed Nirvana-esque build up. Black Futures are a pair pioneers, anarchists and renegades but if you welcome them into your life with open arms and an open mind then you’ll be awful lot better off for it. The album comes soon, prepare yourselves.
