Legendary Dublin outfit BATS are
back with their first new material in seven years in the shape of the
intriguingly title ‘Old Hitler’. The relentlessly brutal throb of the guitars,
bass and drums is arresting to say the least but when the vocals join in like
something between Talking Head, Placebo and Fontaines D.C. you know you’re in
for a ride. I honestly can’t place this genre as it weaves between industrial,
rock, metal, math-rock and stoner grunge but I can categorically sat that I
bloody love it and want a lot more of it. Now.
