This is the second single release
from the forthcoming new Imperial Teen album and ‘Don’t Wanna Let You Go’ is a
lo-fi indie-pop delight. A synth pulse and electronic drums is complimented by
a deadpan Long Blondes-esque vocal delivery which has a steely femme-fatale
nature about it but also a real sense of cool. By the time the fuzzed up and
gruff guitars join in you know you’re listening to a track that means business.
Imperial Teen remain imperiously cool and devastatingly effective at what they
do – other should take note.
