Scot alt-rockers the LaFontaines
are back with another banging single and I’m starting to wonder what’s taking
you lot so long to cotton. ‘Alpha’ is the track from the Motherwell trio and it
opens with an ominously chugging bass and drum duel before the rapped vocals
kick and we’re in a world ruled by the love child of Royal Blood and Linkin
Park. By the time the chorus drops with the pure arms in the air melodies and
the kind of energy Bastille would kill for in a stadium you can’t deny that
