GO GRACIOUS – SINGLE REVIEW

Go Gracious – Solid Influence
Go Gracious - Solid Influence

Release Date: Out Now

I had, for some reason, very low expectations of this song but I was so wrong that I might suggest this is a serious contender for single of the year and it’s not even July. ‘Solid Influence’ is the latest release from British Indie-Pop act Go Gracious and it has a number of impressive features including, but restricted to, a superb video shot one of those freaky Underground trains that just snake on endlessly, a catchy chorus that will worm its way in to your affections within one listen and the kind of pop charm that only the Brits can bring to the table. Built around a simple set of piano chords that Gary Barlow would sell one of his kids for, ‘Solid Influence’ takes all the best elements from the likes of the Feeling, Tempo Shark, Felix Hagan & the Family and the Divine Comedy before taking some classes in bombast from the Killers and then hitting you with the fact that this is a song about alcoholism set to a seriously danceable tune. Bitter, sweet and moreishly irresistible – just the way pop should be.
