PATTERN PUSHER – SINGLE REVIEW

Pattern Pusher – Peace of Mind
Pattern Pusher - Peace of Mind

Release Date: Out Now

Exeter trio Pattern Pusher are genuinely one of the most exciting bands creating new music at the moment and it’s the fact that they consider the whole package when they put anything out. ‘Peace of Mind’ opens with a ribcage shaking beat and rabble rousing vocals that will surely stir crowded bars and festival tents to their feet. When the 80s inspired keys join in, I get the same chills provided by the likes of Simple Minds and John Farnham but with the kind of tribal energy normally reserved for the likes of Brother & Bones or Frank Turner. Mixing synths, thought provoking lyrics (“It’s the hope that kills you, but we go again”) and genuinely impactful drums is no easy task but, like I said, Pattern Pusher are genuinely exciting and creative so if anyone was going to pull it off, it would be them.
