It might not necessarily be cool these
days to like big, ballsy rock’n’roll but if this new release by Nashville collective
Tyler Bryant & the Shakedown doesn’t get you moving and grooving then I don’t
know what will. ‘On to the Next’ hits hard from the get go with a snarling rock’n’roll
riff and driving drums. The vocal style of Tyler Bryant is semi-rapped which
works really well and pitches this in the same arena as Audioslave, the Lad
Classic, ManBreak and Aerosmith and in the world of rock’n’roll that is
excellent company to be in. Hailing from Nashville, there is obviously a
country twang to elements of this tune but this is not music for the Grand Ole
Opry, no siree.
