If you haven’t experienced
Australian duo Mannequin Death Squad yet then you might want to brace yourself.
El and Dan make an almighty racket and new single ‘Blue’ is a great entry point
for their music with the choppy, crunching guitars and loose drums providing
the perfect foil for El’s riot-grrl vocals to take centre stage. Think Veruca
Salt, Sleater Kinney and Breeders having a jam while the Nectars and Charly
Bliss take notes in the corner and you’ll be fairly close to where this is at
but you’d have to add in a few rounds of Jaeger Bombs too, just to up the
energy levels.
