and LA, Taliwhoah has managed to fuse that smooth West Coast flow all drenched
in sunshine and good times with the gritty urban beats of her London roots. New
single ‘Run Along’ blends these two styles perfectly to make a sharp and direct
R’n’B put down track with soulful vocals and cutting lyrics. The organ is beautifully
old school and so smooth but they don’t come close to Taliwhoah vocals that
skip from those rapid choruses full of passive aggressive dismissiveness to the
head-held-high chorus with consummate ease. This is an artist on the rise even
showing off with a little mobile phone chat at the end of the tune that just
fits so perfectly.
