So, this isn’t Haarm’s current
press shot but I couldn’t resist using it – who can resist a trio in caps with
hoodies on holding cats in a non-threatening way? The trio come to the table
with new single ‘Better Friend’ (and cats) and it’s just glorious. The sweeping
and melancholy strings are met but the kind of beat that gets heads bobbing
straight away before the downbeat vocals come in that are somewhere between St
Etienne, Dubstar and the Human League. This is both futuristic and classical in
essence with an industrial edge but the silken vocals wrap the whole package up
in something entirely luxurious and lavish. This is decadent music for those
that love the finer things in life. And cats.
