Described by main man Ryan Smith
as “an ode to 2017”, new single ‘C:U’ is a gloriously and unashamedly shoegazey
tune full of rangy guitars and drums that splash and crash with luxuriousness
and decadence. Hull’s BDRMM are not ones for rushing things, preferring instead
to let things just roll out in front of them and sountrack the various peaks
and troughs. The vocals sound as though they are communicating from another
dimension (or just trying to make contact through a time tunnel from the early
90s) and as a wholistic experience this is genuinely uplifting and invigorating.
