Swedish duo I Am Karate have
upped their game to bring us floaty-light, uplifting pop single ‘News’.
Sprinkled with some of that Scandinavian pop magic, this track pulses and bobs
with an infectiousness that will get to anyone with a sense of rhythm. Vocally,
this is playful and impish but with a steely sense of confidence running
through the middle like the meat in a sandwich. This has the potential to be a
big radio hit if it gets the right backing and putting a Pug on the cover is a
nice touch if you want to get the aforementioned backing. Radio folk love novelty
dogs.
