Following on from excellent recent
singles ‘Watersource’ and ‘Tame Teens’, Anglo-American soloist Grace Inspace is
back with another offering in the shape of ‘Uncertain, CA’ and it’s a continuation
on an upward trajectory. A slow, lounge inspired beat is embellished with some
steel drum ripples and Grace Inspace’s dreamy, Lana Del Rey-esque vocal which,
all things considered, is a great combination. I don’t think it’s overstating the
point to say that Grace Inspace is one of the most fresh, original and unpredictable
new artists around and would not be out of place if you switched on to Later
with Jools Holland and she was leading a band of disparate musicians to create
a enthralling and engaging sound.
