Torontonian trio Ace of Wands may
look as though they’ve been binge watching box sets for a couple of weeks but new
single ’10,000 Feet’ is not as twitchy as that might suggest. The rolling
nu-folk guitar notes breathe coolly in the night with vibes akin to early REM,
Talitha Rise and Wildwood Kin. There’s a dream like quality to this track which
is mirrored in the mildly occult themed video set in a snowy landscape matched
in its beauty only by the superb vocals of Anna Mernieks and Lee Rose.
