For those outside of the British
Isles, a Jersey boy is just a boy from the Channel Island of Jersey, it’s
nothing to do with the musical. Jordan Burrows is one such boy from Jersey and
his latest release is an acoustic version of ‘Hold On To The Daylight’ and it’s
a tender, beautiful tune. The soft piano keys and clicked beat give Burrows’
voice no pressure to overstretch or try too hard. There’s a pop maturity and
sophistication to this track which suggests there is a lot more to come from
Burrows and I expect it will fly really well with the Radio 1 and Radio 2
markets if it gets to the right ears.
