THE SLOW READERS CLUB – SINGLE REVIEW

The Slow Readers Club – Through the Shadows (Modern Sky UK)

The Slow Readers Club - Through the Shadows

Release Date: Out Now

Manchester gents The Slow Readers Club are so hot right now, red hot, and new single ‘Through the Shadows’ only stokes the flames producing that heat. Following in the footsteps of Manchester greats like Doves, Elbow and Everything Everything, this track builds from a sparse base but soon a swelling, grandiose sound emerges in front of you and it’s hard not to be swept away in the emotional tide. In fact, the only thing that it’s hard for me to swallow about this band is just how much they remind of much missed favourites Contact Mo (although I hear a comeback is on the cards) but that’s not the fault of TSRC. Uplifting, inspirational and life affirming indie with soaring melodies and carefully balanced melodies – heat fully justified.
