BERRIES – SINGLE REVIEW

Berries – Faults

Berries - Faults
Release Date: 9th February 2018

LWM favourites Berries are back but this time they’re in slightly more brooding, menacing mood. ‘Faults’ features the trademark rhythm section of intricate and intertwining bass and drums but there’s more of an edge this time which is more akin to the likes of Young Knives and Biffy Clyro. Vocals delivered through clenched teeth and a guitar break that builds the tension with razor sharp precision all add to the impact of this tune beautifully. I still get the feeling that given some time in a top studio with a Rick Rubin or Butch Vig style producer then these three women could create something really spectacular but as it stands they’re still outstripping the competition without even trying anyway.
