I’m starting to think that Son Little might just be the real deal y’know. I mean, the guy looks so utterly and effortlessly cool but then he goes and opens his mouth with his hands working that guitar. ‘Mad About You’ is a chilled, blissed out piece of blues infused music that almost needs to be played out on vinyl during an evening romancing and slow dancing. There’s a soft shoe shuffle and then those gently strummed guitar notes draw you in to that vocal that is part John Legend, part Jack Johnson and part Stevie Wonder all wrapped up in velvet. Yeah, Son Little is definitely the real deal and Philadelphia might just have a new hero it’s hands.
