Andrew Bache is slowly building
up to the release of his debut album in May this year and ‘Grow Up’ is the
latest warning shot in the form of four and a half minutes of jangly indie-folk
loveliness. The Falmouth based artist has a windswept feel about the guitars
and some gorgeously emotive vocals courtesy of Mr Bache himself. There’s a punk
spirit about this tune in the way that the earlier Frank Turner material had which
is really appealing when the chorus chimes “I never want to grow up, cos then I’ll
never be too old to fuck it up”. With a nicely live feel about the drums and an
infectious energy to the whole tune I’m looking forward to hearing what the
rest of the album sounds like later in the year.
