Philly girls, Queen Of Jeans, are
unleashing their debut single on the world this week and you better listen up
to their straight forward instruction - 'Dance (Get Off Your Ass)'. Laid back
guitars and a lazy, Best Coast beat kick things off before those vocals drift
in like a cross between Tennis and September Girls. Lo-fi is probably being a
bit generous but the quality of the song shines through as the drums rattle
away and those guitars get increasingly punchy while the vocals float and
delight as much as they coax and seduce. For what it's worth, this single is
being released as a limited run on a square 7" disc which gets my geek
juices flowing, maybe this will make you moist too....(oh, and the B-side is
'Walk Like An Egyptian' - that do anything for you?).
