Leeds four piece Esper Scout are
making good on all that bundled up promise they've been holding on to with
another release and some tasty tour support slots on the horizon. That
aforementioned new release comes in the shape of 'In Foreign' which is an
introspective, slightly shoegazey effort that reaches out to the far reaches of
your mind and familiar surroundings. Things kick up a notch half way through
and if feels like moving from a day time TV malaise in to some pro-active, life
affirming space where you decide to push back and make some changes. By the
end, all four elements are colliding as the band rocks out to a satisfying
crescendo and the subtly clever video only serves to enhance this. The Americans love these ladies too so here's hoping they get some wedge behind them and
get across the pond again soon, as they say. I do like it when Brit bands kick ass in the States.
