Ready for a bit of sexually
overactive sophisti-pop? Horny duo Her (Victor and Simon to their, frankly,
disappointed mothers) have a knack for pulling together sparse but sexy tunes
and 'Five Minutes' is a great example of said knack. Pulling the essence out of
Duran Duran at their peak, mixing it with a little Marc Almond and then getting
the XX to hand feed them some oysters, these two guys will have you hot under
the collar before you can avert your gaze. Smooth synths, perky guitars, a
groovy bass line and subtle finger clicks for a beat is all they need. All this
in less than five minutes which surely leaves them space to light a cigarette
and pass you the toilet roll to clean yourself up. Classy to the end.
