Bristol crew Dr Meaker have been
being hotly tipped for a while now and it's about time they started to get the
recognition from the masses that the critical acclaim suggests they deserve.
New single 'Good Fight' could be the track to make that leap as the sparse
piano and dusky, soulful male vocal opens the tune up but you know it's just a
prelude before that beat drops in. More soulful than Rudimental and more
energetic than Massive Attack with an almost Gospel feel to the vocal this is a
big tune for the summer's end as we all pack up and head home from the festival
fields ready to hunker down for the winter. Infectious, soulful and with as
much substance as it has style, 'Good Fight' is a great tune but whether it's
got that key hook is for you to decide, masses. Make the right choice.
