This is a more mellow affair than
this Dublin quintet's last effort but where 'Ghost Maker' was all edgy guitars
and impassioned vocals, 'The Warden' is more mature and influenced by
alternative 80s tunes. A wash of keyboards and bouncing guitar notes are nudged
along by gentle but persistently rolling beats and a vocal full of charm and
wit. This isn't the most instant or immediately engaging track every created,
not even by this band, but it fits the mood as the light fails on a
disappointing summer and the greyness starts to set in.
