So here we have a bunch of lads
from South Wales who state Kasabian, Oasis and Arctic Monkeys in their
influences which immediately makes me slightly cautious as these are usually
the go to point for meat-head 'indie' fans in white vans on their way V-Fest in
Chelmsford. But wait, what's this? New single 'Take Me Home' has some ingenuity
about it with clipped beats, Bond-esque strings, the swagger of latter day
Arctics and just a hint of Kasabian mob mentality in the chorus that sits on
the right side of moronic. There is that glimmer of hope that the Stereophonics
and Feeder always had but never quite delivered on so maybe it's third time
lucky for products of the Welsh music scene. Not the finished article or a show
stopper but it certainly wouldn't be out of place on the XFM playlist.
