FOREVER CULT - SINGLE REVIEW

Forever Cult - Antonio Banderas (Clue Records)
Forever Cult - Antonio Banderas

Release Date: Out Now

Now, it's no secret that I'm a big fan of Leeds label Clue Records and their small but oh so perfectly formed roster of artists so I am always keen to get a new release from them in my inbox.  This latest release comes via trio Forever Cult in the shape of their intriguingly titled new single 'Antonio Banderas'. The track kicks off like an Arctic Monkeys tune but with more bile and spit flying with the delivery of every syllable. The swagger of the guitars and the bombast of the drums are fine on their own but it is the sheer size and, well, balls of the bass line on this tune that wins the day as it strolls in, fashionably late of course, scans the room and then walks up to the hottest girl with a look that says you're coming home with me tonight and you already knew that before you put that dress on tonight. This song has the style of Antonia Banderas in Zorro or Shrek but the lethal sex appeal of a
Desperado era Banderas.....with a killer bass line.
