Ladies of London town, the Kut,
have a new single coming ahead of a full EP and from the get-go you can tell
this is going to be in your face stuff full of attitude. 'I Don't Need Therapy'
kicks in without any introduction and guitars chime malevolently against the
pile drive drums. This is melodic rock with an American tinge with the likes of
Hole and Veruca Salt feeding through but also the British vibes of Lush or
Feeder also creeping in around the edges. Vocal harmonies and a slick pop melody
add a sweetness to the hard hitting rock and it leaves you with the undeniable
contradiction that you would want this trio out with you on a night out but you
wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of them in a bar brawl. Feisty but slick
stuff.
