THE SLOW READERS CLUB - SINGLE REVIEW

The Slow Readers Club - I Saw A Ghost (Extenso Music)
The Slow Readers Club - I Saw A Ghost

Release Date: 30th March 2015

Those dark and brooding Mancunians of The Slow Readers Club are back with a new single under the title 'I Saw A Ghost'. Full of classic influences like Joy Division and New Order mixed with the more modern likes of Editors and Keane, this single is a moody indie disco smash for the purists to dance to early in the evening before the pissed up part timers arrive to pogo around to Oasis. Big, bellowing guitars and deep, sultry vocals are a given but some innovative use of vocal harmonies and some nice keyboard gives this an extra layer of class like the optional mahogany dashboard in a Rover. Beautiful in the way an abandoned motorway service station on a misty morn is beautiful.
