I'm always intrigued when I get
music from a corner of the world that I don't normally hear from so getting a
single from Portuguese DJ/Producer is an exciting moment on any evening.
Especially a Tuesday. Xinobi is a musical innovator from Lisbon and new single
'Mom And Dad' is nearly here for you all to enjoy in all its slinky,
hip-swinging glory. Spooky keyboard stabs, twanging 50s guitar and subdued
beats all combine to make a wonderful tune that should be heard snaking from a
basement club in Soho at 2.00am for the sole purpose of enticing the weird and
wonderful in through the doors. Throw in a Goldfrapp-esque vocal and you've got
a stone-cold classic on your hands with nothing left to but move your hips and
throw your head back in delight.
