I really want to like this single
from North-East collective Kosoti but I can't get away from the fact that this
sounds like a parody of Mumford & Sons. 'Bark & Sticks' has all the
necessary ingredients - gruff voice, furious finger picking, pounding rhythms -
but it just doesn't quite have that spirit stirring effect that bands like
Brother & Bones have when they are in full flow. There are some nice lead
guitar parts and a female vocal harmony that adds another dimension altogether
but there's just something not quite clicking here despite the obvious talent
the band has.
