BROTHER & BONES - VIDEO REVIEW

Brother & Bones - Kerosene
Brother & Bones - Kerosene

LWM favourites Brother & Bones have been working hard over the summer with a string of high profile dates and a tweak to the line up followed up by recording their eagerly anticipated new album in the good old U. S. of A. Now, I don't normally review videos but when it's the first new material by one of your favourite acts then you kinda have to take a peek. And anyway, this isn't really about the video. 'Kerosene' is unmistakably a Brother & Bones tune with the huge riffs, rib-cage pounding beats and those mind blowing vocals in full effect. But something's changed, something is different. It took me a few listens but I think I've worked it out - where the quintet were previously surviving on scraps and dealing in the raw end of rock'n'roll there is now a slickness and a professionalism to go with that raw energy. The guys are stadium ready now and if they rocked up as main support to Kings Of Leon or Bon Jovi they really wouldn't look or sound out of place. The album drops in 2015 and if you've got a tenner to spare then I'd put it on these guys to hit the big time next year. 'Kerosene' is just waiting to be set alight.
