"Right on time, back by the
beach, still gonna bring the heat". So starts the latest offering from the
allusively aloof collective, Jungle. 'The Heat' has a blissed out summer vibe
with a pulsing bass line that almost harks back to the 90s which, along with
the higher pitched yet soulful male vocals plus occasional police siren, means
you could be forgiven that this is Will Smith having another stab at a music
career (when really he should be concentrating on working on that Fresh Prince
movie). This is such a chilled out and relaxed song that it deserves to be
listened to while drinking Mojitos on a Miami beach with nowhere to go other
than where the music wants to take you as the sun goes down and the doors to
the clubs open up.
