Tooth Gore - Boxes
Release Date: Out Now
Ahead of a little mini tour before Christmas, Tooth Gore (aka Kobi Joe to his mum) has dropped another single in the shape of 'Boxes' (it's not in the shape of a box, music doesn't take a shape anymore, it's just....floaty). A grungy little riff gets us going but you can feel the tension building until the drum fill and melody burst that bubble and we're off on another surf-grunge-pop adventure. There are tones of Weezer to this but also the brutal self reflection of artists like Samantics and Ren set to the kind of music that would have indie film stars sneaking out of bedroom windows in the early hours of the morning with a new perspective on the world.
