The Honest Poet - Toxic City

Technically, this track came out just before Christmas but I'd already downed tools for the year so I've had to sit on it until now to share with you but it's important that I do. The Honest Poet is a singer-songwriter based in South-Wales and his new single 'Toxic City' slides in with a hypnotic melody and laid back hip-hop beat - a combination that just draws you in immediately. The flow is part pleading and part brimming with ability and confidence which, again, only endears the listener to the track and the artist more. There's an EP coming out soon as well and I reckon it could be a little bit special.
