L7 - Loma Linda
Release Date: Out Now
There's a whole bunch of history to this song surrounding bassist and songwriter Janis Tanaka returning to the band following the sad passing of Jennifer Finch but don't for one second think this is going to see L7 go all mush and sad. Oh no. 'Loma Linda' finds the legendary quartet in menacing form as the guitars trudge and plod with unstoppable energy while the verse builds to an arms in the air chorus. The lyrics are delivered in almost bullet point fashion as though telling a police officer about your recent movements but this just adds to the wrought emotion and tense tone that makes this such a compelling listen.
