Burr Island - Longest Shadows (AWAL)
Release Date: Out Now
Indie-folk due Burr Island are aiming to squeeze out an album before 2026 spits us out into 2027 but before that comes around they're teasing us with new single 'Longest Shadow'. With Simon and Garfunkel worthy vocal harmonies, the song starts with a simple acoustic accompaniment before something approaching a samba beat joins in and then the chorus explodes with colour like the first light of day streaming in through the gaps in your curtains. I feel like it's only a matter of time before these two get to soundtrack a Wes Anderson movie or something involving Tim Key. It's that kind of vibe and I'm here for it.
