Toy Parlour - Galactic Girl
Release Date: Out Now
Born from the ashes of the much missed Beach Riot and Gnarlah, Toy Parlous comes bursting out of the shadows like some sort of hybrid mandroid hell bent on a good time (once it has learned what a good time entails). The collective's new single 'Galactic Girl' bristles and lurches with cyber punk energy and a vibe that sits somewhere between Depeche Mode, Placebo, and Gary Numan. I'm a big fan of the sludgy bass that courses throughout this like a runaway fatberg and the glitchy switches in tempo and melody that keep you on your toes but also keep you enthralled throughout. More please. Much more.
