Bella Cutts - Run Like A Child

I had no expectations of this track from Devon based artist Bella Cutts but I was instantly both drawn in and blown away. Co-written with Ed Harcourt, debut single 'Run Like A Child' has an expanse and maturity in the performance and production that would suggest this is an artist at a more advanced stage of her career but it's the vocals and lyrics that deliver the real knock-out blows. Lines like "you wear your watch but you can't tell me the time, with pockets sewn you have no weight on your mind" are delivered with voice that nervously approaches before taking a deep breath and soaring elegantly. There is soul, there is heart and there is pathos. This could very easily be the best debut of 2026 and any other year for that matter.
