East London duo the Howlers are potentially too cool for school but, luckily, they're too old for school as well so I think we're on solid ground. The pair's new single, 'You Can Be So Cruel', comes ahead of a chunky UK tour and manages to moonwalk along the line between rock'n'roll and electro-disco with consummate ease. Taking elements of the Black Keys, Phoenix and Spiritualized, this track will put a strut in your step and when that guitar solo drops you'll probably find yourself air guitaring down the high street on the way to pick up some milk.
