So it took me a minute to get my head around this one but the band is called Maya (Likes To Run Her Mouth', they describe themselves as a "Super Nihilistic Evil Boy Band" (which would be a better band name) and the song is called 'Alessa Moore' (which made me think this was the artist name and it was actually a solo act). Anyway, confusion aside, this is an absolute stonker of a tune that takes the directness of IDLES, the swagger of the Hives or Span, and the rock'n'roll attitude of Babyshambles, mixes it up with guitars that sound like peak Nirvana and then seals it all with a snarl and a spit. In a world where bands are being overlooked and ignored by the labels, Maya (Likes To Run Her Mouth) are demanding that you pay attention whether you want to or not.
