Paris based trio Frauds have a penchant
for the retro things of this world and the wonderful thing about penchants is
they usually bring out the best in people. The new single ‘Silent’ starts with
a 70s synth melody that’s full of style and sophistication but that’s nothing
compared to the steely-cool vocals of Anais that give this an early 80s vibe. Aside
from straddling the styles of two decades of electro-pop, this song has the
kind of funky groove that Daft Punk and Patawawa trade off so effectively and
that just puts the disco cherry on the light up dance-floor cake.
