Sheffield's Life Aquatic band first came to my attention this year so I'm delighted to see them back with new single 'Look At Ya' which creeps in from behind the curtains like one of the creepier Mighty Boosh characters. The bass and drums combo underpins an insidious vocal delivered as if via a crackling CB radio in the attic. The song builds gently with unstoppable energy of intrusive thoughts creeping into your every day routine, telling you that you're not good enough - we've all been there. It's a really intriguing track and a bold choice for a single but one that sets the band out as risk takers and visionaries in their own time.
