This collaboration between Ms Mohammed and Where We Sleep is intended to raise awareness of and funds for those suffering in the conflicts in Gaza, Congo and Sudan so there is a fair amount of passion and purpose behind this track. 'Write My Name' opens with an attention grabbing raw beat followed by angry, crunching guitars and impassioned vocals singing the opening lines, "welcome to my world, there's nothing left here, it's hell on Earth". I'm reminded of the very early U2 material when they were more politically driven and that is no bad thing in a time when more compassionate voices need to be heard and listened to.
