PETE BENTHAM & THE DINNER LADIES - SINGLE REVIEW

Pete Bentham & The Dinner Ladies - Is There
Life In Ryhl? (9x9 Records)

Release Date: Out Now

There's a lot to love about Pete Bentham & the Dinner Ladies from their deep rooted Liverpudlian sound, their songwriting chops and new single 'Is There Life In Rhyl?' to the superbly kitsch video and the names of the band members (Ladle Gaga on bass and Betty Spaghetti on sax to name just two). The music is excellent too with a driving punk rhythm section, saxy melodies and lyrics that name check Widnes, Runcorn, Toxteth and veganism. Altogether now "All I need is a decent read, a dog on my knee and a nice cup of tea". That's a revolution I can get on board with.
