The opening bars of this new single from Cornishman Tooth Gore sounds like Marc Bolan falling drunkenly into the studio and crashing through the amps but in the best way possible. From that point on, 'I Hate My Collarbones' evolves into a more steady slacker-rock pattern which puts me in mind of Weezer, Redd Kross or Idlewild. There is charm and intimacy in this song but it is shrouded in fuzzy guitars and relentless beats like the cape of an insecure superhero.
