I think I might be in love with this song. From the title, 'Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Stop' (that's seven pops), to the oh-so-basic keyboard melody this song is instantly endearing but Belgian noisemakers Lezard are more than musical click bait. From the punchy, punky vocals to the itchy beats and angular guitars, this song oozes the kind of deceptive brilliance that comes from writing the perfect pop song, wrapping it up in a punk bow and then dropping it on the door stop of indie-rock before setting fire to it and running away. Yup, definitely in love.
