The peerless pair that is Young Knives are back with new single 'Cause & Effect' and they are still just as vibrant and unpredictable as possible. Buzzing, robotic vocals start us off before the almost spoken-word delivery takes over atop a lurching, angular melody and rhythm that is as enthralling as it is unsettling - the sweet spot that Young Knives are uniquely adept at hitting. They really should get these two to work on the soundtrack for an Edgar Wright movie but do the soundtrack first and then write the movie around it. I'd pay good money to watch that.
