The brilliant Aisha Badru is back with new single 'In The Making' and it is a hugely welcome sound for me right now. A soft, warm acoustic strum with folky undertones is met with a husky, emotionally cracked vocal from Badru that makes this feel vulnerable, honest and, well, sublime. This is a song about individual growth, personal evolution and lifelong learning that we all experience without even noticing it but, more than that, this is a song about self-acceptance and lord knows we all need a bit of that from time to time. Just the musical hug I needed today, thanks Aisha.
