I'm not sure how or why there hasn't been a band called Potato before but here we are - 2024, what a time to be alive. The London outfit are releasing '2k22' as their latest single and it is meandering and aimless in the best possible way like a walk along a river bank or a French film that doesn't really do anything other than leave you feeling warm. The gently rippling guitar notes and soft vocals put me in mind of David Kitt but the song builds gradually to a point of soft climax before slipping away again in to the night. Delicate and beautiful stuff.
