There is an innocent rawness to the music Lesibu Grand that I find irresistible as I listen to 'Emotional Disguise', her new single. A gentle strum and a delicate vocal gets us going with a lo-fi pop vibe that reminds me of the Sundays or Belle & Sebastian and that vibe is only cemented when the song swells with a soft rhythm section, sprinkled piano notes and some comforting backing vocals. Towards the end there some hints of Motown creeping in with a Phil Spector influence which is just the cup of hot chocolate handed to you when you've come in out of the rain. Perfect.
